Internal Coordinator - Native American Longhouse
Leadership position in which I managed a staff of eight employees.  Responsible for management of the Native American Longhouse, creating an welcoming environment for students, staff, and the general public, and conveying information about the longhouse, OSU, and the Native American community in general.  Responsible for processing purchase requests, reservations for the facility, scheduling employees, tracking employee hours, maintaining supplies and equipment, as well as planning and putting on events within the longhouse.

Conducted research project in campus Writing Center on how greeting styles affect satisfaction levels of the tutoring session. I enter acted with students by introducing myself and the research project, maintained survey records, created statistical analysis of data, and reported regularly to head of the project and the professor advisor.

Performed all basic secretarial duties including answering phone and routing calls, typing reports and correspondence, filing and sorting mail.  I also assisted the bookkeeper with maintenance of special spreadsheets for tracking job costs, billing of the customers, and entry and payment of the accounts' payable.

Converted office into a computerized and efficient accounting operation by establishing specific policies and procedures. Created various reports and spreadsheets to be utilized by manager, board of directors, and accountant. Performed a variety of accounting duties including A/P, A/R, P/R, G/L, journal entries, preparing financial statements, net income/loss allocation, and owner distribution of net income/loss. Managed petty cash and 7 checking accounts. Reviewed weekly and monthly aging to determine appropriate actions to collect past due accounts. Developed and executed plan to convert manual accounting systems to computerized systems. Managed all accounting functions including depreciation, asset management, general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Performed accounts receivable, payable duties, and made collection calls for 4 restaurants. Prepared quarterly payroll reports and year-end W-2 forms. Calculated quarterly and annual manager bonuses.

Responsible for all financial management functions of a multiple programs. Calculated, prepared and distributed all payroll checks and affiliated tax returns. Developed the annual budget, which included projecting revenues, expenses and anticipating problem areas.
